POSITION TITLE: Senior Accountant, Inventory

REPORTS TO: Finance Director

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Accountant is a role focused in providing support to the finance and accounting department by managing daily and monthly accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the Company’s finances. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform monthly close for inventory functions. Partner with Supply Chain Director to review and analyze inventory location variances; record adjusting entries and prepare account reconciliations.

  • Prepare other account reconciliations in connection with the Company’s monthly close process as assigned.

  • Review and maintain accounting settings for inventory item master data.

  • Work closely with Account Concierge (AC) to ensure adherence to returns SOP. Review GL impact of order errors and work with AC to record correcting transactions in NetSuite.

  • Manage the Accounting mailbox by assisting with internal and external customer requests and inquiries.

  • Prepare non-inventory purchase orders.

  • Assist with implementation of new systems or existing system enhancements.

  • Maintain internal controls and identify opportunities to improve processes.

  • Perform other duties as needed to support the accounting department.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 3-5 years accounting experience.

  • Cost accounting experience, required.

  • NetSuite experience, preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Docs.

  • Process oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and problem solve.

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Maintain confidential information.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Versatile, capable, and willing to assist other departments effectively when required.

 

Location:

Remote or Company’s Phoenix, Arizona Headquarters (32nd Street/Camelback)
